Gracious God. We seek in our living
A greater awareness of your presence:
To speak kind words, to listen more
To respect differences, to show patience.

Inspire us to make wise choices.
To keep promises, to be honest
Make us mindful of how we use time.

Move us to forgiveness - gently ask that we
Let go of hurts and overlook shortcomings:
Give us hope during times of difficulty and change.
Help us to see and nurture the goodness
Within each soul you've entrusted.

May your enduring love strengthen our bonds
As we become blessings for one another
The earth and all who need our care.

Dear Fellow Travelers: Some of the real reasons some of us don't spend more time with the Bible is that we're afraid of it. Makes sense to me. Why would we want to read a book that calls attention to our failures and multiplies our feelings of GUILT and FAILURE?
